Common questions
Questions and answers
Cost and access
Is Math Picnic free?
Yes, all of it. No paid tier, no trial, no watermark, no limit on how much you print.
Do I need an account or an email address?
No. There is no sign-up on the site at all — pick a skill, make the sheet, print it.
What ages and grades is it for?
Kindergarten to Algebra 2, ages 4 to 17: counting and tracing, through fractions and pre-algebra, to Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2.
How is Math Picnic different from other free worksheet sites?
No account, no paywall, and every sheet can be both reprinted exactly and redrawn fresh from the same page. A library of fixed PDFs gives the first and a plain generator the second; the comparison page lists what was tested.
Where the questions come from
Are the questions written by AI?
No. Each kind of problem has its own generator, and that generator works out the answer key from the same numbers it used to write the question — so the key cannot disagree with the sheet.
Are answer keys included?
Yes, with every worksheet, test and workbook. The ready-made PDF at each page holds the questions and the key together.
Will two children get the same questions?
Only if you hand them the same code. Each sheet is drawn from its own seed, no question repeats within a sheet, and the difficulty mix you set is the mix that gets dealt.
How do you know the sheets are right?
Every change runs the whole automated suite, and 20 separate checks drive a real browser to measure the printed page — a layout fault is only visible to something that lays the page out. 262 published codes are frozen against their exact output, so a sheet printed a year ago still prints the same today.
Using the sheets
Can I print the exact same worksheet again later?
Yes. Every sheet prints a short picnic basket code and a QR code — type the code or scan the QR on any device and the identical questions come back. The same page will also deal a fresh set whenever you want one.
Are the sheets easy for a child to read and write on?
The type is set large, and every answer space is sized to the working that goes in it. Each layout is measured in a browser before it ships, so nothing is cramped or pushed off the page.
Privacy
Does Math Picnic show ads or track children?
No ads, no third-party scripts, no cookies, no visitor profiles. The site counts which pages and features get used, and nothing that could name a person.
