What's on this sheet

The combined line-and-point sheets make a child choose between 180° and 360° first; this one keeps to the full turn, so the total is always 360°. Holding the whole steady is what lets the practice be about finding the missing angle rather than about deciding which total to reach for.

Why this sheet works

The method is the same shape as the straight-line sheet, one number larger: add the angles you are given, then subtract from 360. Adding the known angles first is the step to hold onto, because with several wedges around the point a running subtraction is where a child loses track.

How this one works

One question from this sheet, worked through a step at a time.

Angles around a point: x, 140°, 85°

140° + 85° + x=360°
140° + 85°=225°
360° − 225°=135°
  1. The angles around a point add up to 360°, so all three together make 360°.
  2. Add the two you are given first: 140 + 85 = 225.
  3. Then take that from 360°: 360 − 225 = 135. So x = 135°.
