Early MathVenn diagrams, numbers to 20
Write each number in the diagram. If it fits no circle, write it outside.
Eight numbers, two circles, and each number has to go somewhere. These free printable Venn diagram worksheets make a child ask two questions about every number, and the overlap is where both answers are yes. Answer key included.

The answer key prints on a separate page.
Each diagram names two properties, such as Even and Less than 8. A number like 18 is even but not less than 8, so it goes in the left circle alone. A number like 1 is less than 8 but not even, so it goes in the right circle alone. The 4 is both and belongs in the overlap, and the 13 is neither, so it goes outside the circles but inside the box.
That outside space is the part children skip. A child who thinks every number must land in a circle will squeeze the 13 in somewhere, and the answer key shows it sitting on its own. The numbers stop at 20 on this page and each diagram gets its own eight numbers, so there are three to sort. The maker also draws the same question as a Carroll diagram.
