What's on this sheet
It starts with simplifying — 6 : 8 is the same ratio as 3 : 4, the exact same idea as reducing a fraction to lowest terms. Once a child sees a ratio as a value with many equal forms, a proportion is the natural next step: 2 : 3 = 8 : ? asks which number keeps the two ratios equal, solved by scaling up or down. Unit rate strips a ratio down to "per one" — $12 for 4 is $3 each — which is the form real life uses for prices and speeds.
Why this sheet works
The last piece ties ratios back to something already familiar: a percent is just a ratio out of a hundred. Writing 3 : 4 as 75% is the same reasoning as an equivalent fraction with a denominator of 100, which is why ratios, fractions, and percents are really one connected idea.

- The biggest number that goes into both 9 and 12 is 3.
- 9 ÷ 3 = 3 and 12 ÷ 3 = 4, so 9 : 12 is 3 : 4. Same ratio, smaller numbers — nothing has changed except how it is written.
