What's on this test

Every other paper on this shelf covers a unit. This one covers the course, and the section sizes are what make the difference: three questions apiece rather than five, across eight topics, so a student who knows logarithms well and radicals not at all cannot make it up in volume. That is the honest shape of a final and it is also the useful one — the paper tells you which unit to go back to, not just whether the year went well.

How the paper is put together

The topics are the ones the year is built on: what a logarithm asks and the three laws that follow, pulling a square out of a radical and writing the same idea as a fractional exponent, completing the square and the complex numbers that appear when there are no real solutions, factoring a rational expression down, and summing a series. Print it twice with different questions when the first attempt shows where the gaps are — the code at the foot of the page reopens the exact paper, and the Test Maker will build another with the same shape.
