What's on this test

Fluency means the fact arrives rather than gets worked out, and thirty questions is enough for the difference to be visible without the page becoming an endurance test. Every question is within twenty, so nothing here is difficult — that is deliberate. What is being looked at is which facts are known and which are being counted.

How the paper is put together

There is no timer on this paper and no space for one. Speed is a symptom of fluency, not the thing itself, and a clock changes what a child does with a hard question: they guess. Watch instead for where the pen slows down; that is the same information without the cost.
