What's on this sheet

The rule is short: multiply the numerators, then multiply the denominators, and simplify what you get. 2/3 × 3/4 becomes 6 over 12, which reduces to 1/2. On every sheet the fractions are stacked — numerator over denominator — so a child reads them the way a textbook prints them.

Why this sheet works

There is a shortcut worth teaching early: cancel a common factor before you multiply. In 2/3 × 3/4 the threes cancel, leaving 2 over 4, then 1/2 — smaller numbers and almost nothing to simplify at the end. Because no common denominator is ever needed, this is the gentlest of the four fraction operations and a good place to build confidence.
