What's on this sheet

The listing sheet gives a number and a long line: write the first five multiples, in order. It is skip counting with a name, and doing it in writing is what turns a chanted times table into something a child can produce on demand. The numbers themselves are what the level control sizes — the multiples run past that ceiling, because that is what multiples do.

Why this sheet works

The circling sheet is the recognition half. Each row shows a number in a box and six candidates, and the child rings the ones that belong to it. Because most of the row is a genuine rejection, it cannot be answered by pattern-matching — every number has to be tested. The yes-or-no sheet asks the same question one at a time, and its wrong answers are built as near misses, a multiple nudged off by one or two, so guessing does not pay.
