Graph inequalities in two variablesCheck a point
Is the point a solution of both inequalities? Circle Yes or No.
A point is a solution of a system only if it makes every statement true. These free printable worksheets give two inequalities and one point and ask yes or no, with an answer sheet.
If they get stuck

The answer key prints on a separate page.
The work is substitution and nothing more, which makes this a good first page before any graphing. Put the point into the first inequality and see whether it holds. Then do the same with the second. Both true means yes. One false is enough for no, and there is no need to go on once that happens.
Some of the points land exactly on a boundary, and those are the most useful questions on the page. A point on the line makes the two sides equal, so y ≤ 2x + 1 is true there and y < 2x + 1 is false. The same point can be a solution or not depending only on whether the sign has a bar.
y ≤ 2x + 2 y ≥ x + 1 (1, 4)
