Skip counting sequences worksheets
Skip counting helps a child hear the steady rhythm inside a number sequence. These free printable worksheets show a short chain of connected numbers with one middle number missing, giving young learners a clear clue on each side of the blank.
Kid stuck on one? You don’t just get the sheet.

The answer key prints on a separate page.
What's on this sheet
Every question is a complete mathematical pattern, not a row of unrelated random numbers. The sequences step by one, two, five, and ten, and only introduces a larger step when the selected number range can show the pattern clearly. Fives and tens begin on their familiar multiples. The blank always sits inside the sequence rather than at an end, so a child can count forward from the left and check the answer against the number on the right.
Why this sheet works
A short page is enough to notice the even-number, five-ending, and ten-ending patterns, and no sequence repeats on one worksheet, so the practice stays varied.
How this one works
One question from this sheet, worked through a step at a time.
11, 13, 15, ?, 19
- Work out the jump from numbers you can SEE — never from the gap, because the gap is what you are trying to find.
- 11 to 13 is up 2, and a counting sequence jumps the same amount every time.
- So the gap is 15 + 2 = 17.
