Early MathFractions of a set, up to 24 in all
Circle equal groups: the bottom number says how many. Then write the answer.
What is 2/3 of 15? With 15 pictures on the page a child does not need a rule. Ring them into three equal groups, count two of the groups, and the answer is 10. These free printable worksheets do that with piles of 12 to 24 objects.
If they get stuck

The answer key prints on a separate page.
Each fraction here has a top number above one, which is the real step up from finding one part. The bottom number still says how many groups to make, and the top number now says how many of those groups to count. 3/5 of 15 is five groups of 3, and three of those groups make 9.
Some of the fractions are not in simplest form on purpose. 2/4 of 24 and 3/6 of 18 both come out at half the pile, and a child who notices that is seeing equivalent fractions at work without being told about them. The answer key draws the rings and shades the groups that were counted.
