RoundingTo the nearest hundredth
Round each number to the nearest hundredth.
The nearest hundredth is how money gets rounded, and it asks a child to read three places after the point. These free printable worksheets round three-place decimals to two places, with an answer key.
If they get stuck

The answer key prints on a separate page.
The thousandths digit decides. 57.487 becomes 57.49 because of the 7, and 30.132 becomes 30.13 because of the 2. Reading the places correctly is most of the work, so naming them is a good habit before any rounding happens: tenths, hundredths, thousandths.
Small numbers are in the mix on purpose. In 0.092 the zero after the point still holds a place, and the answer is 0.09. A child who skips that zero and treats the 9 as the tenths digit gets an answer ten times too big, which is why it is worth checking the result against the number you started with.
