MultiplicationFocus ×14
Multiplication by 14 worksheets
Fourteen is two sevens, so the fourteen times table is the sevens doubled. These free printable worksheets cover 14 × 1 through 14 × 15 — a grade 4–5 extension for a child whose sevens are already quick.

What's on this sheet
Find the seven fact, then double it. 14 × 6 starts from 7 × 6 = 42, and doubling gives 84. 14 × 8 starts from 56 and doubles to 112. The doubling is the only new step, and doubling a two-digit number is something a child has practised since grade 2.
Why this sheet works
The second route is tens plus fours: 14 × 6 is 60 plus 24, which lands on 84 as well. Some children prefer one route and some the other, and it is worth letting them choose — the facts they are least sure of are exactly where checking one route against the other pays off.
How this one works
12 × 14
- 12 × 14 means 12 groups with 14 in each one — 12 rows of 14. The answer counts everything in all of them, not one row.
- Added up, that is 14 written 12 times — that is a lot of adding. Turn it round: 14 × 12 is the same amount, and it is only 14 lots of 12 to add instead.
- If 12 × 14 will not come, split the 14 at five: 12 × 5 = 60, and 12 × 9 = 108. Together that is 60 + 108 = 168.
- So 12 × 14 = 168.
