MultiplicationFocus ×2
Multiplication by 2 worksheets
The two times table is the one most children already half know, because doubling is something they have been doing since kindergarten. These free printable worksheets cover the whole table, 2 × 1 through 2 × 10, one page at a time.

The answer key prints on a separate page.
What's on this sheet
Start by naming what the table already is. A child who can answer "what is double seven?" can answer 7 × 2 — the fact is in place and only the notation is new. Saying that out loud converts a page of unfamiliar symbols into a page of things they can already do, which is a much better first encounter with times tables than rote chanting.
Why this sheet works
The two times table is also where the even numbers come from. Every answer on the page lands on 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and onward, which is the same sequence a child met in skip counting, and noticing that connection makes the table feel like a pattern rather than ten separate items to memorize.
How this one works
One question from this sheet, worked through a step at a time.
2 × 2
- 2 × 2 means 2 groups with 2 in each one — 2 rows of 2. The answer counts everything in all of them, not one row.
- That is 2 lots of 2, added up: 2 + 2 = 4. The × sign is short for exactly that sum.
- So 2 × 2 = 4.
