MultiplicationFocus ×25
Multiplication by 25 worksheets
Twenty-five is a quarter, and four of them make a hundred — that one fact carries the whole table. These free printable worksheets cover 25 × 1 through 25 × 25 for a child who already knows what a quarter is worth.

What's on this sheet
Count it in quarters. Every four twenty-fives is 100, so 25 × 8 is two hundreds, 200, and 25 × 12 is three, 300. For the numbers in between, take the nearest multiple of four and add or subtract a quarter: 25 × 7 is 25 × 8 = 200 take away 25, which is 175.
Why this sheet works
The other way is to multiply by 100 and divide by 4. 25 × 18 becomes 1800 ÷ 4 = 450. That route is worth showing a child once they are comfortable, because it is the first taste of a shortcut that works by changing the problem rather than by memorizing its answer.
How this one works
1 × 25
- 1 × 25 means one group of 25 — a single row.
- One 25, and nothing else to add to it — so 1 × 25 is just 25.
- If 1 × 25 will not come, split the 25 at five: 1 × 5 = 5, and 1 × 20 = 20. Together that is 5 + 20 = 25.
- So 1 × 25 = 25.
