Daily math practice for 8th grade

Five days of solving for the unknown, one sheet a day, from single-digit constants to constants in the forties.

What the 5 days look like

Solving equations · 5 daily sheets plus an answer key — 6 sides in all.

  1. Monday Warm-up

    Monday solves for single digits.
  2. Tuesday Build

    Tuesday moves into the teens.
  3. Wednesday Practice

    Wednesday works the twenties.
  4. Thursday Stretch

    Thursday reaches the thirties.
  5. Friday Challenge

Friday's constants are in the forties.

Why a week beats one long page

By eighth grade the bottleneck is rarely the method — it is arithmetic slips inside a method the student already knows. Solving twenty equations across a week surfaces those in a way that solving twenty in one sitting does not, because the second half of a long page is done tired.

How to run it

The climb is in the numbers rather than the structure. Monday solves for single digits, where the answer can be seen without writing the step down; by Friday the constants are in the forties, where skipping the written step is how the sign gets lost. Same operation, five days of widening margin for error.

Other Grade 8 packs

Every one of these builds a pack that gets harder day by day. A single times table fills three days rather than five — ten facts, each allowed back once. Skills whose questions are all one weight are left out.
