What's on this chart
Ten is the hinge of our number system, and knowing its pairs by heart is what lets a child add 8+5 by making ten first and carrying the rest. There are only eleven bonds to learn, and this chart shows each one twice over: as a number sentence, and as a row of counters split into two colors.
