What's on this chart

Most classroom charts stop at 100, but factoring does not — a least common multiple of two two-digit numbers can easily land past a hundred, and this chart keeps the primes in view when it does. A number that is not on the marked list is composite, so it can be broken down further; that check is the whole use of the page.

Why this chart helps

The thinning pattern is clearer over a wider range. Between 1 and 50 there are fifteen primes; from 100 to 150 there are far fewer, and seeing that gap is a real piece of number sense — primes never stop, but they do spread out.
