Measurement and data
Not a worksheet
These expectations have no sheet, for two different reasons. Listing them is the point — a catalog that showed only the hits would say this grade is fuller than it is.
Personal financial literacy (6) — a TEKS strand with no Common Core equivalent, and one Math Picnic has never built for. This is a gap, not a mismatch.
- 7.13ACalculate sales tax on a purchase and income tax on earned wages.
- 7.13BIdentify the components of a personal budget and each one's percentage.
- 7.13CCreate an assets and liabilities record and a net worth statement.
- 7.13DUse a family budget estimator to find a minimum household budget.
- 7.13ECalculate and compare simple interest and compound interest earnings.
- 7.13FAnalyse monetary incentives: sales, rebates and coupons.
7.6B — Select and use simulations for simple and compound events.
Running a simulation over many trials. A printable can hold the result and not the running of it.
7.10C — Write a real-world problem for a given two-step equation or inequality.
The expectation is writing a STORY for a given equation. Our word-problem sheets go the other way — a story to solve — and a generated sheet cannot mark an invented context.
